Welcome!
Welcome to the web site of Andreas Rozek. After a long period
of inactivity the author has now finally begun to continuously
reconstruct his web appearance. Currently, the list of (new or
modified) topics is still quite short, but this will hopefully change
in the near future...

Overview
The following topics are currently available - just click on
an article of your choice:

ExpressionParser
- evaluating numerical expressions with ActionScript 3
Since version 3,
ActionScript definitely lacks any kind of "eval" function. If you used
this function to analyse and evaluate numerical expressions before, you
may benefit from the author's "ExpressionParser", a small class which
provides just this functionality.

|
ExpressionParser -
evaluating
numerical expressions with RunRev
Occasionally, it is
necessary to analyse and evaluate numerical expressions at run-time.
The author's "ExpressionParser" is a small and simple "Library Stack"
for Runtime
Revolution, which provides an (extensible) "sandbox" for that purpose.
|

|
FileInfo - an "External" for
Runtime Revolution
In order to determine the
properties of a single file using Runtime
Revolution, it is first necessary to determine the properties of all
files in the containing folder and then to filter out the actually
desired information. The author's "External" for Windows, Linux and
MacOS X offers a more efficient approach!

|
PreloaderDisplay -
a Preloader Display for Flex Applications
Because of their size Flex
applications usually take some time to load and initialize. A small
preloader display (which may be easily embedded into your own Flex
projects) provides valuable feedback for the user during this loading
phase.
|

|
FTIStrap - a fully functioning
3D Printer built using fischertechnik
3D Printers are machines
which automatically construct real-world objects based on (virtual)
computer models. Follow the link to see how you can build such a (rapid
prototyping) device yourself!
|

|
VBA for Excel - Presentations
and Exercises (in german only)
At the beginning of every
semester break, the author usually gives the course "VBA for Excel"
(with exercises) at the Hochschule für Technik in
Stuttgart. Following the actual course, you may still access the
accompanying material (i.e., the presentations and the exercises) if
you click on the link.
